📢 CPF Fire Hydrant Community Project

ATTENTION ALL RESIDENTS – We need the help of the Community

Your house is on Fire, and the Fire Brigade can’t find the fire hydrant nearest to you 🚒.

CPF S7 is launching a project within our community to identify, mark, flush and clean all fire hydrants.

  1. Phase 1 – Identifying and cleaning all Fire Hydrants with the help of the Community.
  2. Phase 2 – Identifying and cleaning all Fire Hydrants where areas have not been identified. (CPF)
  3. Phase 3 – Marking and flushing of the Fire Hydrants together with our local Fire Department.

How to identify where a Hydrant can be located:

  • You may see a red cover on the sidewalk.
  • Some pavements have a red block painted on them, across from this marking you will find the hydrant.
  • You can also identify a hydrant where lampposts have a red line painted on them, on this line you will find a number that represents the meters, the position of the nr, also indicates the direction of where the hydrant is situated.

Please do note that the paint might not be as visible, and you would have to look carefully to find it, also please be careful when lifting a cover as there might be living creatures in the hole.
